Bolnisi tuff quarry Parkhalo is located in 18 kilometers from district center Bolnisi.

             Computing quarry recourses we received following exploration net:

                                   A _ 20 - 40 meters
                                   B _ 60 meters
                                   C _ 100 meters

               Calculated volumes by categories are:

                                    A _ 135,1 thousand m3
                                    B _ 536,0 thousand m3
                                    C _ 681,0 thousand m3

                                    Sum  _ 1352,1 thousand m3

 

 

                It is possible to mine 300 m3 tuff at a quarry monthly. The cost of 1 m3 block is 250 $.

               At a quarry are installed Italian “Pelegrin” type machines, which allow to cut blocks with diamond rope. This permits to avoid explosions on the quarry and raise productivity for several times.

                Extracted blocks with lifting cranes are loaded on dump-trucks and are transported to cutting plant located at a 1 km distance.
